BUNZL National Account Manager in Fairfield, Ohio
Description
R3 Safety, a division of Bunzl, is seeking a National Account Manager. This position will be responsible for developing relationships and increasing sales within an established group of clients. The National Account Manager will be responsible for creating, developing and driving sales in multiple target markets including safety, industrial, office, construction, oil and gas, hardware and the internet (.com). The ideal candidate will live near or have easy access to a major airport anywhere in the contiguous United States as this role will entail significant travel.
In addition to serving as a business development partner, the person in this role will build customer relationships, handle customer complaints and inquiries, support Accounts Receivable efforts and effectively communicate with all appropriate internal and external departments.
Responsibilities:
Maintain key accounts and continue working to grow new business
Prospect new business within targeted business segments
Develop an account strategy to grow business and prepare reports of business transactions
Ability to coordinate sales efforts in the key account base, with existing outside sales force
Demonstrate outstanding customer service to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
Communicate and cooperate in a productive manner with all departments
Utilize all appropriate VIP (Dimensions of Professional Selling) techniques and methodologies
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Professional Sales or related field preferred; equivalent combination of experience, education and training
Sales experience in personal protection equipment or related safety items is preferred
Proven track record in growing business
Must be competitive, driven and self-motivated
Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work in a team setting with a diverse group of employees, managers and outside parties
Exceptional analytical, organizational and communication skills
Ability to utilize acceptable mathematical skills
Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel required
Experience with IBM I-Series/AS400 operating system highly desired
Significant travel is required; must be willing to travel to multiple locations as needed
