CVS Health Senior Business Advisor Process Implementation in Fairfield, New Jersey

Job Description

As a Senior Advisor - Operations Portfolio Lead for Dispensing Operations, you will facilitate the production support ticket prioritization process and coordination with IT; communicate with the submitter of tickets regarding any questions; combine multiple tickets for the same scenario; coordinates with business on priority of tickets across departments and coordinate with IT around funding. The Senior Advisor will provide leadership to ensure operational excellence in the launch and tracking of operations programs and projects of any complexity while delivering the desired results within the agreed upon time frame and budget. You will play a leadership role in the management of a department portfolio, including project alignment with business benefits/value; assignment of project managers to projects; launching new projects or helping project managers in the launch of new projects; integrating the portfolio reports at the department level; supporting the Department Portfolio Manager in the yearly planning cycle; establishing project measurements; maintaining relationships with department leadership, other staff organizations (i.e. Finance, IT/TI, etc.), Program/Project level Steering Committees; and conducting quality reviews for projects.For a program or complex project, the Senior Advisor - Operations Portfolio Lead will coordinate the efforts of a cross unit/cross company teams that can include Customer Care, Mail Services, Clinical Ops, Benefits, Disease Mgmt, IT/TI, Product Development, Finance, HR, Procurement, and other corporate organizations. He/she will develop and manage to a project plan and timeline that covers estimates, requirements, design, construction, test, deployment and benefit tracking. The Senior Advisor will own problem analysis, solution validation, risk management, issue resolution/escalation, financial and change control management, organizational change management, and stakeholder engagement processes for assigned projects or programs. You will need to adhere to and trains other employees on the Operations Project Delivery Methodology, project management professional practices and standard tools and contributes to practice development in enhancing the standard tool kit.This position is not responsible for direct employees but may occasionally oversee and mentor contractors or junior members of the team. You will be responsible for interfacing and communicating directly with Senior Managers from all different areas of the company as well as for coordinating vendor work efforts related to a project.This role will require the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and use effective judgment in prioritization and time allocation. You will need to utilize and develop project delivery methodology with supporting management practices like risk management, change management, scope management, time management and quality management.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in process management; 5 years leadership experience in process improvement, operations analysis, or operations management;* Extensive knowledge of Specialty Pharmacy’s business processes and systems. * Proven experience leading operational improvement efforts including project management* Demonstrated team facilitation skills* Ability to meet deadlines and satisfy customers with multiple conflicting priorities* Ability to effectively interact one-on-one with all levels of management* Strong communication skills, including aptitude for writing, fact gathering, and analysis* Strong presentation skills* Demonstrated understanding of process mapping and documentation, and process analysis using Lean Six Sigma techniques* Extensive computer skills including Excel, Visio, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

Process management experience in health care preferred; demonstrated ability to manage process improvement programs.Demonstrated ability to determine key business issues and develop appropriate key business issues and develop appropriate action plans from multi-disciplinary perspectives.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Effective interpersonal skills.Ability to identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical information and instruction.Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt certification. In absence of certification, training in Lean or Six Sigma is desirable with the intent to become a Green Belt within first 6 months of hire.


Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Pharmacy or equivalent work experience required. One additional year of experience is required for each year of college not attained.
