Facilities Technician

Our work depends on a Facilities Technician joining our team to support the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) program in Falls Church, VA.

This is an IT Service Management contract in support of GENM-O’s mission is to enable information dominance from the tactical edge to the home station for the Army, DoD, National Command Authority, and international partners by acquiring, implementing, and sustaining strategic satellite and terrestrial communication systems, and by leveraging technologies to meet current and future requirements. AGUN is to design, procure, maintain, deploy, and transition a Global SDN solution in accordance with applicable Army policies and regulations. The AGUN-INC1 TO will provide a unified approach to ensure standardized deployments and configurations at multiple locations throughout the globe.

To be successful in this position you need to be collaborative and willing to work within a team. While you will need to be a self-starter completing tasks on your own, working together is critical in this role. You will be interfacing with the client and senior staff. Therefore, you should be articulate in your communications because your opinion matters. You will need to explain technical intricacies in a way that is easily understood.

Facilities Technician : Supporting our Modular Delivery Team strategy, serves as part of an Installation and Test team. Conducts thorough site assessments to evaluate readiness of facilities for SD-WAN hardware installation. Verifies electrical wiring, voltage levels, and grounding systems to comply with safety regulations and equipment specifications. Assesses HVAC systems and environmental conditions to maintain optimal operating temperatures, humidity levels, and airflow for SD-WAN hardware installations. Coordinates with facility managers, contractors, and stakeholders to address any infrastructure deficiencies or modifications needed to support SD-WAN hardware deployments.

Required Travel:

  • It is anticipated that some personnel will be required to travel on Temporary Duty (TDY) to various CONUS and OCONUS locations. Long-distance travel is anticipated to be required in support of this effort at least 50%.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $21.97 - $36.70. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
