Reports to : Manager Technical Service PPS
Purpose of the function
To handle all service related issues at (direct) customers and to support Ranpak’s sales team:
Maintenance of Ranpak converters
Training operators/technicians
Customer visits together with Sales
PSE support & installations
Field upgrades
Responsibility
To setup and maintain an interactive maintenance, support, training and communication program between Ranpak and (direct) customers, distributors, and 3PSP. The primary goal of this maintenance and support program is to secure the good state of Ranpak equipment to avoid any loss of business caused by technical issues with this equipment. The Field Service Engineer is Ranpak’s ambassador at customers.
Main tasks
Setup, maintain and execute maintenance program at (direct) customers.
Analyze maintenance data and initiate follow up actions if needed.
Log maintenance data in SAP.
To plan, organize and give technical training to distributors, customers and 3PSP.
Provide technical support to Ranpak Sales team during customer visits.
Installation of converters and Pack Space Excellence (PSE) integrations.
To plan, organize and give technical training to representatives of Ranpak, distributors, customers and 3PSP.
Report on regular basis all relevant information to the Service Manager;
Actively participate and support improvement programs, new developments, quality issues and other machine related issues;
Act as a backup for the Technical Service Engineers:
Coordinate all technical issues at distributors, customers and 3PS;
To give problem solving assistance by phone or email to technical or commercial representatives of Ranpak, distributors, customers or 3PS;
Analyze incoming technical complaints, initiate appropriate actions and follow up the status of the complaints and actions;

Requirements
MBO level mechanical and/or electrical engineering
Preferably knowledge of software and PLC programming
Able to work independently as well as in a team
No 9 – 5 mentality
Customer focused, hands-on and service minded (can do attitude)
Pragmatic, pro-active, analytic, flexible and stress resistant.
Strong communication skills
Driver’s license B
Willing to travel on a regular basis
Fluent in Dutch and English language. Preferably also German and/or French.
Preferably experienced in servicing packaging machines
Experience with MS Office & SAP
