9+ years of experience in architecture and project management. Past experience working on rail and transit facilities is highly desired, but not required Experience working with rail and transit agencies, such as PennDOT, DGS, SEPTA and AMTRACK and/or commercial projects Experience in managing large projects, and a proven ability to manage complex budgets and schedules Knowledge of ICC Codes, ADA Regulations, and OSHA Safety regulations. Manage client relationships and team performance. Resolve complex technical and design issues. Analyze client problems and develop architectural solutions to those problems. Prepare planning studies, conceptual ideas, schematic design, design development, and construction documents, develop solutions and work directly with clients and consultants. Lead client presentations and/or meetings, presenting ideas and solutions. Lead and Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver project solutions based on expertise and an understanding of client goals. Coordinate with consultants (structural, MEP, fire protection/life safety, site/civil, geotechnical, construction managers, etc.) Coordinate with the project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants Conduct weekly progress meetings with stakeholders Focus on planning and execution of projects, developing design and technical solutions throughout all phases of a project. Lead preparation of presentation drawings and models. Participate and contribute to design discussions, idea generation, and design work in drawing, model, and 3D image formats. Be responsible for the design and team members to complete design and construction documents on schedule and within budget. Interface with permitting agencies and AHJ's throughout the permitting process. In construction phase, review RFI's and submittals, support and/or lead field observations. Able to manage a project performing construction within a railroad/transit station Critical skills: Proficiency in AutoCad or Revit, Bluebeam, Adobe Photoshop is desired. Strong 3D presentation, production & technical skills. LEED AP or GGP certification beneficial. Motivated, ndependent, accurate & cooperative problem solving with strong work ethic.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 9 - 14 years of professional experience. Appropriate professional certification preferred. Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
