WATTS Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician in Export, Pennsylvania

This position provides equipment repair support and assistance to the manufacturing department and general plant facility. This position is on 2nd shift, Monday-Friday 3pm-11:30.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Repair and maintenance of light industrial manufacturing equipment. Preventative maintenance of production machinery and plant facility. Perform basic mechanical and electrical repairs to manufacturing machinery and plant facility. Complete scheduled tasking for preventive and predictive maintenance program. Assist tooling department with tooling repair and maintenance related to manufacturing equipment. Perform troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment. Perform basic PLC equipment repair and troubleshooting Capable of basic electrical system installations Regularly scheduled Over Time is required for this position including weekends.

EDUCATION:

  • High School or GED required

  • Associates’ Degree in EET, MET, Technical School, or equivalent experience required.

MANAGEMENT:

No positions report to this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical Degree & 1+ years' experience OR minimum 5-year experience in maintenance of manufacturing equipment in lieu of technical degree

  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills.

  • PLC repair and troubleshooting skills are a plus.

  • Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical and electrical drawings required.

  • Computer skills using Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel, or equivalent software.

*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to move throughout the plant and office areas.

  • Alternates between sitting, standing, and moving within the work area.

  • Must be able to manipulate equipment used in performance of tasks.

  • Other demands include but not limited to oral, written, and presentation/communications skills.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally and perform any other physical requirement s of the job including standing on a concrete floor for extended periods.

  • Must be able to work on ladders and man-lifts. Scissor lifts

  • Able to operate plant mobile equipment (forklifts)

*WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Works in a Manufacturing Plant Floor Environment.

  • Will have regular exposure to the plant floor, External facilities, and Office Areas
