Sodexo Universities is seeking ah ighly passionate, experienced, organized, and disciplined individual with a strong commitment to serving people to join our Sodexo teamas a Human Resources Manager / Generalist for The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ . Known for its natural beauty, the college is situated on 289 tree-lined acres in suburban Ewing Township, New Jersey, in close proximity to both New York City and Philadelphia. The College of New Jersey is a 4 year public college with over 7,000 students enrolled.

This On-Site Human Resources Manager/Generalist will work closely with the management team, as well as the frontline staff. This role will be highly involved in training, presentations, coaching/documentation and hiring efforts. This is a long term Sodexo account with a large resident dining program, a food court, cafes and catering. We employ approximately 160 union employees, and student employees. Experience working with Union / CBA environment is a critical part of this role.
Is this the Opportunity for You? The successful candidate will:
have an HR Generalist background andhave a basic knowledge of employment and discrimination laws;
possess HR Degree and/or credentials such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP; a plus;
provide HR counsel to local management team in accordance with the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and working with union employees;
assist in conducting complex conflict resolutions between employees and overseeing the administration ofperformance and behavioral management tools;
have a basic knowledge of employment and discrimination laws;
act as a customer service representative, addressing employee's inquiries and issues;
possess strong time management and organizational skills;
have excellent computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as the ability to learn additional computer programs as needed;
manage all HR Representative, Employee and Management inquiries in a timely manner; and
act as a customer service representative, addressing employee's inquiries and issues.
