BUNZL Warehouse Manager in Everett, Washington

Description

Majestic, a leading supplier of personal safety gear and a division of Bunzl, is seeking Warehouse Manager for our facility in Everett. The Warehouse Manager will provide leadership to the branch and manage a variety of general warehouse activities in an accurate, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily picking, receiving, and shipping activities

  • Develop processes for optimizing inventory pick operations to ensure a FIFO methodology and relocate fast-moving materials to strategic locations

  • Ensure daily cycle counts are conducted and processed

  • Analyze and propose methods of sustained productivity increases

  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized warehouse

  • Ensure safe working conditions including properly training employees on proper safety methods

  • Effectively counsel and manage employees on attendance, performance and/or misconduct, continuous employee training and development

  • Communicate with other departments, branch management and Human Resources

  • Manage the maintenance and repairs of all warehouse-related equipment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in a manufacturing environment

  • Transportation and logistics experience required

  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal OSHA safety regulations

  • Experience in forklift certification and inspection, hazmat certification, operating various warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, stock pickers, etc.)

  • Must be able to lift heavy objects (occasionally between 60-75 lbs.) with or without reasonable accommodations for an entire shift

  • Must be able to work regularly at a height of up to 26 feet above the ground (with provided safety equipment/processes/training)

  • Must have strong leadership, decision-making and organizations skills

  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule with a "hands-on" management style

  • Must be detail-orientated and a team player, driven to excel

  • Excellent communication skills and good computer skills

  • Experience with SAP database preferred (measuring the pick accuracy and performance of employees)

  • Experience with retail accounts that have compliance/routing guides preferred

Majestic Washington annual salary range: $67,728 - $77,500 plus bonus eligibility based on experience, education, and geographic location.
