Providence St. Joseph Health Senior Director, Women and Children Services RN in Everett, Washington

Description Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett (PRMCE), the Service Area Director of Women and Children's Services will provide strategic leadership for the North Puget Sound Service Area Women and Children's Services operations including PRMCE AND SWEDISH EDMONDS, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of Women and Children's Services, a connected experience of care and clinical excellence for the patients that we serve. As a member of the nursing leadership team, they assume an active leadership role interdepartmentally, with medical staff, and act as a key representative in Women and Children's Services on behalf of the CNO as deemed necessary. Essential Functions: Assures individual respect for all while maintaining composure in dealing with difficult situations. Establishes and monitors effective systems of communications. Utilizes effective leadership and Human Resource skills. Engages in labor negotiations as requested by CNO and HR. Labor contracts are administered appropriately. Strategically plans for Service Area. Engages in service line projects to ensure alignment across division. Consistently meets work deadlines, schedules and provides project work in a timely manner. Provides staff support to a variety of committees: Participates as leader, facilitator or member of committees as appropriate. Establishes accountability structures for managers to ensure financial performance. Accurately prepares annual budgets in accordance with PRMCE AND SWEDISH EDMONDS goals and objectives. Qualifications: Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration Bachelor's degree in Nursing 4 years of Proven leadership in developing, managing, and operating high performing obstetrics services preferably in multi-institutional Women and Children's Services.
