AvtechTyee Inc Mechanical Assembler / Assembly Tech in Everett, Washington
Our team is searching for a Mechanical Assembler with the ability to float and support different areas in the shop with experience in assembly, proficient use of basic hand tools and a strong attention to detail. Along with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to help position our company for new growth and improved social responsibility. Aerospace experience is a plus!

Your primary responsibilities will be:
May be assigned to any one of the major areas which include but are not limited to:
- Solution clean
- Polish
- Deburr
- Straightening
- Saw
- Vibratory
Perform deburring according to established standards
Scrape or rub parts with file, wire brush, or buffing cloths
Hold part against buffing or grinding wheel
Mount part on revolving spindle or chuck and hold or move tools such as file, abrasive stone, or cloth against work - piece to file, grind, polish, or buff surfaces
Clean interior surfaces of holes
Change tools on powered equipment
Apply abrasive compound, wax, or other dressing to facilitate cleaning or polishing operation
Operate a saw or other powered cutting tool
Select type of finish specified per work instruction, to determine amount of metal to be removed
Perform other general finishing processes including solution clean
Clean up parts, machines and premises
Perform detailed periodic machine maintenance
Examine part for acceptability of finish
Perform other duties as assigned Follow all environmental health and safety policies and procedures, models safe work practices
Responsible for contributing to and supporting a positive and respectful workplace environment.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 0-2 years' experience in a machine shop environment
Experience in aerospace manufacturing or other highly regulated industry preferred
- Experience using hand tools and a tape measure required
- Strong focus and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong focus on customer service
Ability to quickly master new business knowledge and technical skills
The target hourly/salary range for this role is $20/hr. - $26/hr., depending on experience.
