Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Level 3 Configuration Management & Product Integration Engineer to support 777/777X Programs in Everett, WA as an Emergent Engineering Change Coordinator. The engineer will work within a dynamic and diverse 777/777X Engineering Change Control (ECC) team. Engineering Change Control is responsible for enabling effective and efficient incorporation of authorized engineering changes into the production system or retrofit market by developing, integrating, publishing, and maintaining the Engineering statement of work.

The specific job title being hired is 777/777X Emergent Engineering Change Coordinator.

The Emergent Engineering Change Coordinator role is absolutely vital to the ability of the airplane programs to hold delivery schedules and satisfy customer commitments. This role leads the commitment of critical changes in the time leading up to a successful delivery to the airline customers. These late stage changes vary from error correction to new requirements from the airlines. The candidate will lead cross functional commitments across DE, ME, Finance, Bus Ops, Factory, Field etc to support the commitment of an Emergent Change that is needed to deliver the airplane. The role is highly matrixed and the candidate would lead the commitments with limited oversight.

Although this is a 1st shift job, it requires the ability and willingness to work all shifts if need be to get a change committed. This role can have a high level of visibility to leadership and large impact on the program’s success due to the complexity or timeline of the changes. The successful candidate will be organized, flexible, and able to work through difficult timelines to accomplish a goal.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

This position is an onsite position. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite in Everett, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with teams in the development, analysis, and management and compliance verification of process and product baselines of complex products.

  • Defines, plans, coordinates and conducts product and subsystem level technical design reviews and audits for new and derivative products.

  • Analyzes complex product trades and/or changes and develops technically complete change proposals.

  • Contributes to the development and implementation of Configuration and Data Management standards, processes and tools.

  • Defines and allocates Configuration and Data Management requirements for product hardware, software and engineering design data systems throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Coordinates the integration of product elements and analyzes & resolves issues with engineering product structure.

  • Develops, integrates and implements engineering technical program plans including impacts, risks and incorporation of lessons learned spanning multiple engineering functions.

  • Works under general direction.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Including MS Project)

  • Adobe

  • ECAS

  • IBEX

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification

Pay Range Level 3 : $96,050 – $129,950
