[]{#_Hlk15270516}SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision, the Building Maintenance II performs routine building maintenance tasks. Follows standard work prepared for routine inspections, and mechanical and electrical repairs.  Performs a variety of standard technical tasks related to light construction, maintaining and repairing mechanical systems, air compressors, fire systems and related building systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspects facilities and grounds for problems, issues, and opportunities.  Repair as appropriate or report to team leadership.
  • Responds to maintenance calls in a timely manner.   
  • Diagnoses and repairs malfunctioning electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Provides routine preventative maintenance services to include lubing, changing oil and rewiring,  including locating and safely resetting breakers.
  • Communicates with aircraft maintenance personnel and support group employees on equipment problems and building infrastructure concerns. Relays necessary information to team leadership.
  • Proactively supports and provides input to Site Services teams in maintaining safe clean work environments, including improvements in the work area.
  • Repairs and installs built-in components and furniture, such as cabinets and doors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • []{#_Hlk15452178}High school diploma or GED and three (3) years of relevant facilities experience, vocational training, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Must be qualified or able to qualify to operate high lifts, scissor lifts, vehicles, back-up equipment pumps, compressors, emergency generators, compactors and other equipment.
  • Must have valid state driver's license.
  • Must have or be able to obtain the required tools to perform the essential functions of the job.

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up.  []{#_Hlk15452254}The employee will also be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Compensation

The full base pay range for this position is $22.00 -- $31.00 per hour (expressed as hourly for non-exempt), exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. The lower end of the range represents the target base pay for those beginning or developing in the role. The higher end of the range is intended for those who have mastered the role, with proven significant expertise, high achievement, and specialized skills.
