DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

Clinical Social Work support for Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry at the CHA Everett Hospital. These units are part of the Cambridge Health Alliance Psychiatry Department which provides a wide spectrum of inpatient and outpatient treatment across multiple hospitals and outpatient clinics.

Summary:

• Responsible for the evaluation and treatment of an assigned caseload of clients, providing a range of psychosocial care. Works autonomously and may provide clinical (not administrative) supervision to staff (social workers and others) and trainees (social workers and others).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or an equivalent degree in a related field.

  • Licensure: Current MA licensure as LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) or eligibility for licensure. LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) is adequate when the employee does not have an MSW.

  • Certifications: Same as above. When required, must be credentialed by the CHA Medical Staff for practice in relevant clinical practice areas, such as individual, couple, family, or group psychotherapy.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of two years post masters degree, in clinical or human service setting with relevant populations.

  • All newly hired candidates must successfully complete a job specific physical agility exam
