Job Description Summary

The Global Commercial Rotorcraft Customer Service Leader is a pivotal role within the Military Field Service & Support organization. This leader will provide direction and leadership for a team of globally dispersed Field Service Representatives (FSRs) and Customer Product Leaders (CPLs). Additionally, this role includes account management and support for all CT7 customers not on global services contracts. This leader will drive activation activities, continuous improvement initiatives, and exemplify the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Forecasting and Resource Planning: Develop and execute short and long-term resource plans based on regional forecasts and business commitments. This includes recruitment, skills reviews, and resource development through advanced-level training.

  • Team Leadership: Assume 2nd line manager responsibilities with senior professional direct reports. Attract, retain, and develop high-performing talent, often managing medium to large teams (12+ people).

  • Strategic Decision Making: Interpret internal and external business challenges. Recommend methods to improve products, processes, or services. Utilize industry trend insights to inform decision-making processes.

  • Problem Solving: Lead structured problem-solving to find impactful solutions within complex processes. Collaborate with adjacent functions (Customer Service, Product Management, Compliance, Engineering, Global Mobility, etc.) to address issues. Evaluate information quality and question conflicting data for thorough analysis.

  • Project Leadership: Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and complexity. Present business or technical discipline solutions to leaders. Communicate complex messages and negotiate with internal and external partners, vendors, or customers to align different points of view.

Required Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in relevant fields such as Field Services or Engineering.

  • 5 Years experience in relevant fields such as Field Services or Engineering.

  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Problem Solving Ability: Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems and lead programs/projects effectively.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical/engineering skills, with experience leading successful lean initiatives and driving measurable improvements.

  • Travel Availability: Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, both internationally and domestically.

  • Matrixed Environment: Proven ability to lead in a highly matrixed environment, leveraging and influencing stakeholders and team members effectively.
