    PURPOSE OF JOB:

    Leads recruiting process for hiring needs across our field transportation business. Works directly with hiring managers, applicants, and human resources. This role will achieve recruiting objectives by sourcing and evaluating passive and active job seekers, assist the interview process, and support the onboarding process as needed. Will also be responsible for advising hiring managers of recruiting compliance and best practices.

    JOB DUTIES:

  • Facilitate the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants for hourly and salaried roles. Collaborates with managers to understand skills and competencies required for open positions.

  • Build strong, credible relationships with senior leadership, hiring managers, key stakeholders, and peers, operating as a trusted advisor and talent subject matter expert.

  • Effectively coach hiring managers in recruitment and selection processes, while ensuring compliance with employment laws.

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies, including referral generation, position postings, direct sourcing, traditional/new media sources, networking, government organizations, and job fairs.

  • Candidate screening, including phone/virtual interviews as well as face-to-face meetings in either a group or individual format.

  • Partner with HR team to support completion of all pre-hire and onboarding tasks, internal hire communication, and new hire training as needed.

  • Track candidates through the process to ensure accurate and timely submission of information.

  • Supports HRIS systems to ensure proper functionality, usage, and data integrity for recruiting and ATS.

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate would have:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Management/Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred; or any combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the role.

  • 1+ years of demonstrated Human Resources and/or Recruiting experience.
