We have a very exciting full time opportunity with a world-class company! Our client is looking for someone to act as a Design Verification Specialist to check and analyze engineering drawings for approval. This candidate will be working with multiple teams so being collaborative is a must!
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and an Associates Degree in Drafting is preferred. Candidates should also have at least 7 years of working experience checking CAD/Creo drawings for electro-mechanical equipment. responsibilities:
Verify and validate all component, assembly, and installation drawings and CAD models released by the Product Engineering department.
Review drawings, CAD models, and related design documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with internal drawing and quality standards.
Collaborate with internal engineering teams to address and resolve drawing and design discrepancies as needed.
Offer guidance to engineers and designers on GD&T datum schemes and tolerancing as required.
Work with the design team to refine and uphold internal drawing standards.
Monitor overall drawing quality performance metrics for the department and recommend necessary drafting training and process improvements.
Conduct regular training sessions within the department on drawing standards and GD&T best practices.
Develop and maintain drawing templates, standard notes, and symbols.
