Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Eugene, OR. The ideal candidate will be responsible for filling prescription items, packaging medications for dispensing and delivery, and ensuring adherence to accuracy and productivity standards. This role involves labeling products, inventory management, preparing various forms of medications, and maintaining effective communication with both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.

  • Label products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.

  • Participate in periodic inventory of the pharmacy.

  • Check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves, and remove out-of-date items.

  • Prepare medications including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, which may include non-sterile compounding.

  • Communicate with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional manner.

  • Process returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.

  • Work in the Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room or with automated machines to prepack drugs.

  • Manage inventory functions such as monitoring pharmaceutical levels and identifying expired medications.

  • Input patient data and medication orders into a computer system to produce labels (data entry).

  • Mix/package IV medications, sanitize IV room, equipment, and hood.

  • Service facility-based medication dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow).

  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).

  • Pharmacy Technician certificate.

  • 6+ months of order entry, retail, and/or fulfillment pharmacy experience.

  • Ability to recognize and identify medications.

  • Excellent data entry skills.

  • Proficiency in operating a computer.

  • High level of attention to detail.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Oregon Pharmacy Technician License.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Long-term care pharmacy experience preferred but not required.

  • Team player mindset.

Work Environment

This is a closed-door, fulfillment pharmacy with a production/fulfillment/warehouse environment. The work schedule is Wednesday through Saturday (4x10 shifts). Wednesday and Friday shifts are from 10 AM to 8:30 PM, and Thursday and Saturday shifts are from 9 AM to 7:30 PM. The initial assignment length is 13 weeks, with opportunities for contract extension and potential conversion to a direct hire based on performance and business needs. Employees will need to complete online training modules prior to starting. The environment focuses on fulfilling the pharmaceutical needs of long-term care and senior living clients, offering a non-retail setting. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50
