We are looking for a full-time experienced Assistant Director of Human Resources to lead ShelterCare's HR team. What we offer:

    ShelterCare is a non-profit that believes in "housing first", we meet people where they are. The Assistant Director of HR is responsible for the strategy and implementation of the activities within the HR department. This position is part of the Senior Leadership Team that works to ensure all HR activities, policies, and procedures align with the mission, vision, and values of ShelterCare. ShelterCare has 70-80 employees and is led by a board of directors. This position directly supervises one HR Generalist and reports directly to the CEO.

    The starting salary for this exempt position is $76,702.60 to $78,500.00 /per year depending on a number of factors. This is a full-time position that is eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits 60 days after start date.

    What you bring to ShelterCare:

    Required

  • A degree in human resources and a minimum of 3 years of experience in HR with progressive increase in responsibility.

  • HR Certification required within 6 months of hire (for example, HRCI, SHRM, etc).

  • Essential Skills: Effective communication, negotiation and collaboration, scheduling and time management, leadership, risk management, critical thinking and problem solving, use of technology for email, spreadsheets, documents, etc. Must be able to pass an Oregon background check. Knowledge of social service systems is preferred.
