Actalent Design Engineer in Etters, Pennsylvania

Job Title: Design EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to develop and revise product proposals, ensuring manufacturing feasibility. You will create marketing and engineering proposal concepts, coordinate with a global team of engineers, and resolve engineering and design-related issues. Your responsibilities will include checking, approving, and processing drawings, BOMs, and Item Masters. You will perform mechanical simulations and tolerance analysis to ensure designs meet all requirements, considering manufacturing limitations. You will facilitate design for manufacturability (DFM) with internal and external tooling and process development teams and drive product design risk reduction through validation and verification activities. Additionally, you will manage component and assembly drawing package creation, release, and modification through the ECN process, contact vendors and suppliers for cost-reduced products or processes, and provide support to manufacturing and quality engineering teams for failure and root cause analysis.
