About the Role

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory through effective cycle counting, physical inventory management, and adherence to material management processes.

Your Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cycle Counting:

Coordinate and perform daily cycle count by leveraging ERP-generated reports to ensure ongoing accuracy of inventory records.

Investigate and analyze inventory variances by identifying the root cause and collaborating with the production team to determine corrective actions.

Adherence to Magna Cosma established Cycle count guidelines.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during cycle counts promptly.

Ensure that the calculation of Inventory Accuracy adheres to the guidelines outlined by Magna Cosma.

Physical Inventory:

Manage and oversee the annual physical inventory audit to confirm the accuracy of the system.

Organize teams for the physical inventory count and conduct a pre-meeting to guide and ensure a thorough comprehension of the counting process.

Verify that all production lines experiencing downtime during the physical inventory count are cleared or purged.

Analyze and report on the results of physical inventories, identifying root causes for discrepancies.

Ensure that the calculation of Inventory Accuracy adheres to the guidelines outlined by Magna Cosma

Work closely with cross functional teams to implement corrective actions to enhance inventory accuracy.

ECN Process:

Participate in Engineering Change Notices (ECN) meetings for a better understanding on changes that will impact inventory.

Collaborate with Engineering and production teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of ECN processes.

Closely monitor and report on the impact of ECNs on inventory levels and accuracy for components that are balancing out to reduce obsolescence.

BOM/Routing Updates:

Audit Bill of Materials (BOM) and Routing information to ensure correct part number and usage is being back flushed.

Work with Engineering and production teams to ensure BOM and Routing changes are accurately reflected in the system.

ERP Functionality:

Utilize ERP system functionalities to streamline and optimize inventory management processes.

Collaborate with IT and other relevant stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related issues.

Provide support to ERP system users for inventory and barcode labeling issues.

Collaborate with the operations team to address issues identified during production reconciliation.

Update and publish materials KPI reports.

Assist in verifying that materials are correctly labeled and stored in their designated locations as documented in the ERP system.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Proven experience in Automotive inventory control, cycle counting, and physical inventory management.

• Familiarity with Engineering Change Notice (ECN) processes and their impact on inventory.

• Strong understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) and Routing structures.

• Proficiency in using ERP systems for inventory management.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.

• Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
