Emerson Planner - Buyer in ESTADO DE MEXICO, Mexico

As the Buyer Planner for Emerson you are primarily responsible for the ongoing procurement and raw materials negotiations, that meet the quality standards of the company.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Set-up and maintain updated information in the system such as: Supplier data, Party-supplier relationship, price, delivery time, payment conditions, shipping method, minimum quantities to order, Sourcing Rules, etc.

  • St up the new suppliers according to corporate policies.

  • Analyze the WorkBench requirements in Billy (Oracle instance) for the release of purchase and manufacturing orders.

  • Prepare monthly purchase forecasts and send them to Suppliers, to ensure the supply of materials.

  • Work with the Workbench answering exception messages to ensure that both purchasing and manufacturing actions are reacted to.

  • Prepare Kanban board calculations on a quarterly basis as well as coordinate card exchange with the different areas.

  • Generate the purchase order according to procedures and send it to the supplier by established means, confirming receipt and updating promise dates in the system.

  • Expedite the material with the supplier and/or material in transit; according to the customer's requirements/vitality, and/or purchase order expiration dates, until the product is available for use in the warehouse.

  • Generate reports on “timely Deliveries” from the supplier, on a monthly basis.

  • Analysis of open – expired purchase orders, and implement corrective actions to improve supplier performance.

  • Keep purchase order delivery information updated in the system to ensure ATP functionality.

  • Resolve Matching Holds differences so that suppliers can be paid once a month or when the organization required it.

  • Ensure that suppliers have current material specifications.

  • Keep delivery date information updated for both manufacturing orders aligned to purchase orders so that Customer Service has this information always available.

  • Respond to Customer Service to customer queries and requirements expeditiously.

  • Update information on new products in the Engineering template as well as quote the raw materials that require compliance with the metrics in less than 24 hours

  • Evaluate/Develop maquiladora companies that offer quality, cost and service, and certify them with the support of the Quality Department.

  • Sending certified invoices and packing lists to the International Trade Compliance area and to the customs agent for the crossing of merchandise through customs

  • Attend and resolve with the ITC (International Trade Compliance) area discrepancies of material sent by suppliers to the customs agent's customs office.

  • Participate in Foreign Trade training.

  • Ensure accurate information in documents and/or shipping requirements with suppliers/customers.

  • Ensure the accurate application of INCOMERS in Purchase Orders and Supplier Invoices.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Proficient English

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as planner / buyer (external candidates)

  • Internal candidates 1 year seniority on current position
