TECO Energy Construction & Maintenance Technician in Espanola, New Mexico
This position will be open to internal and external candidates and will close on Monday, December 2, 2024.
Pay for this position is in the range of $43,672 to $54,590 and is dependent upon skills, experience and education of the successful candidate. This pay range is composed of a current base pay range of $42,400 to $53,000 with 3% supplemental pay, which is administed in accordance with NMGC's Supplemental Pay Policy.
The successful candidate must live within 30 minutes of the Espanola Service Center.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare job sites for safe operation
Frequent work around live gas mains and services performing taps, stop-offs, or tie-ins.
Excavate site using manual tools, excavating machinery, and shoring following all safety procedures
Installation and maintenance of steel pipe or non-steel systems Polyethylene (PE) plastic pipe utilizing heat fusion/electrofusion.
Perform various safety tests, including pressure tests, on gas pipelines.
Operate and perform preventative and corrective inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
Successful Candidate Must Have:
A high school diploma or GED
A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Construction & Maintenance Tech: 0 years of experience and the ability to obtain and maintain a New Mexico Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 1 year of hire through company-provided paid training
Working Conditions
Construction and/or field environment. May be required to work overtime and/or be on-call. Will be exposed year-round to outside weather conditions. Personal protective equipment required. Regularly required to stand and walk with the ability to bend, twist, balance, and climb frequently. Occasionally sit to drive vehicles and operate heavy equipment. Manual dexterity is required to lift, carry and/or maneuver up to 80 pounds by reaching, handling, kneeling, and/or crouching.
