We are looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Data Center Engineering Operations Technician is a hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation responder. If you like to use apply your electrical and mechanical skills to solve problems, we’d like to meet you. Your work will help to maintain one of the world's largest information system infrastructures.
We are currently hiring Data Center Engineering Operations Technicians in our mission-critical data centers in multiple locations across Sweden: Eskilstuna, Västerås, and Katrineholm.
A valid driver's license is required for this role.
Key job responsibilities
SAFETY
Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture. As a facility owner team, ensure remediation of safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster strong safety culture.
ENGINEERING & FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE
Operational experience and familiarity with electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS’s), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS's), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), and Transformers.
o Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
o Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.)
o Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance
Physical requirements
• Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations).
• Ability to work shifts (morning, late and night)
• On-call rotation reaction to off-duty emergency calls (if applicable)
• Work at heights and from ladders; in a noisy environment with ear protection
• Perform physical tasks during the shift
A day in the life
Your day-to-day activities will include:
Monitoring alarms and systems that manage power, cooling, and fire suppression in the data center.
Coordinating vendor work on-site to ensure equipment is maintained and uptime is preserved.
Supporting other teams and sites during events and planned works.
Handling rack installations and powering up equipment.
Monitoring and facilitating the handover of new equipment.
Sharing knowledge and supporting new team members.
Participating in event response drills.

Basic Qualifications
• High school or equivalent diploma
• 1 to 4 years of Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory; generic mechanical room infrastructure such as chillers, cooler units, and fan controls; backup generator systems
• Valid EU driving license;
Preferred Qualifications
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline + Professional Certification in Electrical, Mechanical or Controls engineering.
• Experience in operations of critical facilities (Heavy Industry or Data Centers) which require in-depth knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and control systems and Data Center engineering experience
