Your main tasks
Procurement of site specific requirements as allocated e.g. CapEx, MRO, services and materials
Analysis and good knowledge of the local procurement market for goods and services in terms of supplier base, technologies, competitive environment, market trends and cost drivers
Identify supply risk and execute risk mitigation strategies; drive supplier development and initiate supplier quality improvements
Supplier management, including developing and maintaining an effective supplier assessment program
achieve cost reductions and avoidances, create cash flow improvements and lead time reductions
Establish key supplier agreements, delivering innovative improvements and maintain supplier relationships
Participation in or lead of regional and global procurement projects
Collaboration with local and global teams and suppliers to support the development and implementation of strategies
Optimization of total costs of the German sites including the development and implementation of cost saving programs
Development, implementation and maintenance of procurement plans and best practices
Independently negotiating and drafting individual and framework contracts and awarding them
Identifying and assessing risks and benefits of procurement decisions and clearly presenting proposals to mitigate risks
Contributing to the annual budget process by providing reliable cost exclusions and realistic forecasts
Your profile
Successfully completed studies or alternatively commercial vocational training and many years of relevant experience in strategic purchasing
Many years of professional experience in purchasing, ideally in an internationally operating production company
Very good experience in supplier and contract management
Good knowledge of SAP (MM) and MS Office
Very good knowledge of German and English
Team player who enjoys working with direct and indirect colleagues
Experience in cross-functional projects
Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented approach to work
Very good negotiation and communication skills at all levels
