We currently have an opportunity for an ACS Customs Brokerage Agent at our CVG, Erlanger, KY Hub.This position is part of the US cargo division of DHL Aviation which is an organization that sells excess air network capacity to freight forwarders.
Primary Duties:
Responsible for the capture and management of data, metrics and analytics to drive improved service performance and reduce unit costs through improved performance.
Position will require you to work directly with Network Control, Network Planning, Linehaul Planning, and ULD management at the CVG Hub with a focus on Hub connectivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinates ACS shipments at the CVG Hub warehouse operational activities to ensure the safe, timely and cost effective processing of shipments.
Directs and ensures compliance with established DHL corporate, hub, gateway or terminal warehouse Hub/Gateway, and airline policies, procedures and standards in accordance with government regulations.
Submits cargo to test inspections for piece count, weight, dimensions, and physical condition.
Oversees the loading and unloading of any of the following: trucks, trailers, or airline pallets.
identification and segregation of non-conforming and dangerous goods cargo and informs the applicable department according to proper processes and procedures.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong proficiency with MS Excel
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Perform all of the standard and some specialized, more complex aspects of the function
3 years experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse or industry related field preferred
Flexible and willing to work any shift
Engineering or Analyst background is preferred
