Crime Victim Center Receptionist / Administrative Assistant in Erie, Pennsylvania

Required Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Associate's Degree in a Business-related field, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Excellent Communication Skills (both written and oral)
  • Organizational skills with the ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple, ongoing projects
  • Trustworthy, Outgoing, and self-motivated
  • Able to interact and communicate with people of diverse backgrounds
  • Able to handle emotionally charged situations
  • Must possess current Child Abuse, Pennsylvania State Police and FBI Background Clearances

Job duties:

  • Answer and direct calls within a busy crisis agency
  • Greet clients and visitors and connect with appropriate staff
  • Receive, log and distribute incoming mail
  • Create and maintain office documents
  • Maintain agency calendars to manage meeting room availability
  • Perform data entry
  • Conduct basic office duties such as copying and filing
  • Maintain reception area
  • Participates in on-call rotation to staff agency hotline
