$16.85/hour
The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) is essential to providing daily care to our residents in our Residential Living area. Employee will be responsible for assisting residents in providing the activities of daily living (ADL's) (e.g., bathing, shaving, dressing, hair, nails, mouth and incontinence care, etc). Attend to the daily comforts, needs, and routines of residents and ensure they are being met. Document intake and output records as instructed. Answer resident call bells promptly. Assist residents to walk with or without self-help devices as instructed, and assist residents with wheelchair transportation as needed. Measure and record TPR, BP, weights and measurements, as instructed. Document in the resident's clinical record on a daily basis.
Patient Care Assistant (PCA) candidates must have a high school diploma or GED.
WE NO LONGER REQUIRE THE COVID VACCINATION TO WORK AT SAINT MARY'S HOME OF ERIE.
If you join the Saint Mary's team as a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) and you successfully complete your 60 day introductory period with us, you will be enrolled in the nurse assistant training at HVA and then can take the state test to become certified. We will cover the cost of the training program and the testing.
