Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Northwest Regional Director (Economic Development Consultant 2) in Erie, Pennsylvania

As the Northwest Regional Director for the Governor's Action Team, your main responsibility will be to develop and execute strategies that promote economic development in the Northwest Region of Pennsylvania. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will collaborate closely with company executives seeking to relocate or expand their current facilities in the northwest region or other areas within the Commonwealth. Your main responsibilities will involve assessing the feasibility and economic impact of projects in Pennsylvania, identifying suitable projects, and proposing incentive packages for approval by the Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary and the Governor.

You will also be the liaison with real estate agents, site location advisors, developers, and local economic development organizations to find appropriate sites and buildings, as well as organize confidential tours. Additionally, you will establish and nurture strong relationships with local and regional economic development organizations, educational institutions, and government officials to ensure effective project management.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Erie. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as an Economic Development Consultant 1; or Four years of professional experience in economic planning and development programs, and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Criteria (not required):

Possess six to eight years of experience managing projects or programs in economic, infrastructure or workforce development, real estate, banking, financial planning, business assistance, or public/private finance. Credentialing or Certification through accredited economic development organizations such as International Economic Development Corporation - (CEcD) or National Development Council - (EDFP).
