UPMC Director, Operations - Primary Care in Erie, Pennsylvania

Responsibilities:
Supervise coding and charge entry staff to improve revenue processes and address insurance and reimbursement issues within community-based BU.
Foster a culture of service excellence by consistently meeting internal and external customer requirements.
Lead assigned committees and oversee special project activities, providing direction and leadership.
Implement and evaluate quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes, including patient access and satisfaction efforts.
Collaborate with managers and division chiefs to develop action plans that exceed customer expectations and improve service levels.
Develop, monitor, and manage BU operating and capital budgets, ensuring compliance with financial goals across departments.
Oversee charge lag processes to ensure timely fee entry into EPIC systems and maximize reimbursement strategies.
Manage human resources functions within BU, including recruitment, performance evaluations, and staff mentoring, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field / 5 years of experience
OR - Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field / FMR Program Graduate / 3 years of experience
OR - Master's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field / 3 years of experience
OR - Master's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field / Fellowship Program Graduate / 3 years of experience
Preferred:
Advanced knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws as they pertain to physician BU management
Knowledge of revenue cycle, physician billing, and contracts
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
