About the Role:
Cyient has an opening for an A&E CAD Technician with our Telecommunications Team in either Woburn, MA or Erie, PA. You will learn to draft in multiple CAD platforms and navigate proprietary software systems required to complete technical telecommunication design packages that will be used for zoning, permitting, final design and construction. You will will also design fiber optic cables, above and below ground equipment cabinets, telephone poles and other underground structures and draft them in an accurate and error-free design package to be delivered to the customer. You will report directly to the Project Manager in our Erie, PA office.
Create construction drawing packages that will be used for zoning and permitting.
Develop construction designs and layouts for multiple site configurations.
Create A&E drawing packages and permit drawings for wireless sites.
Interpret engineering designs, redlines and incorporate into A&E drawing packages.
Develop necessary templates used to create A&E drawing packages.
Work with senior designers to develop drawings, calculations and equipment applications for the wireless industry using AutoCAD.
Organize and analyze drawings before set up and discusses project complexity and time estimates with technical and supervisory personnel.
Provide technical support to design engineers, project managers and other technicians.
Maintain project drawing files, drawing library, and associated records and documentation per company policies.
High School diploma
2+ years of experiencein drafting (civil, electrical or architectural industry preferred)
2+ years of experience in AutoCAD (2018), MicroStation or other CAD program.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
1 year of experiencewith interpreting utility, topographic, street or profile maps.
Reliable transportation to the Erie, PA or Woburn, MA office on a daily basis.
