Ephrata National Bank Part Time Relationship Banker I - Cloister in Ephrata, Pennsylvania

Summary:

The RB I is a retail banking development role designed to skill entry-level bankers with the skills required to provide service and support to ENB customers.  The Retail Banking Training Program (RBTP) provides an in-depth on the job developmental experience to prepare incumbents with the skills needed to be successful in retail banking.  The RBTP experience is six months in duration. Successful completion of the RBTP experience qualifies individuals for a promotion to Relationship Banker II.

Relationship Banker's provide account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments; cashing checks; issuing savings withdrawals; recording night and mail deposits; selling cashier's checks; answering questions in person or on telephone; referring to other bank services.

  • Embrace and execute ENB's Customer Experience banking principles.
  • Conduct bank's routine transactions within time limits and established guidelines (cash checks, accept deposits and loan payments, process withdrawals etc) with accuracy.
  • Assess the risk in each transaction and seek additional assistance, if necessary, in identifying possible fraudulent transactions.
  • Understand and execute outbound customer calls by using the ENB Customer Experience banking principles.
  • Understand and utilize the IQ system to record customer information.
  • Project a consistent "We Care" attitude to ensure an optimal customer experience.
  • Understand and support bank's goal, mission and purpose.
  • Adhere and comply with all Bank policy and procedures and applicable Federal Banking Regulations.
  • Demonstrate good judgement, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Exhibit knowledge of ENB products and services.
  • Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services (credit cards, saving bonds etc.).
  • Demonstrate the ability to resolve customers' issues, provide relevant information and seek additional assistance when necessary.
  • Strive to meet and exceed goals outlined in performance and incentive programs.
  • Consistently exhibit a professional demeanor with internal and external customers.
  • Complete other duties that may be assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school degree or GED
  • Cash handling experience preferred
  • Customer service skills
  • Functional understanding of Windows-based applications
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented, well organized and proficient in multitasking
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Act as a self-motivated team player
  • Successful completion of all required Relationship Banker training
  • Participate and successfully complete educational classes

Supervisory Requirements:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional work environment.   This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, monitors, mouse, keyboard, phones, printers, scanners, photocopiers, filing cabinets, calculator, and fax machines.

Days and hours of work vary based on the needs of the Community Banking Office. Flexibility of schedule to meet business needs is required.
