SNOW COLLEGE HR Administrative Assistant - Richfield in EPHRAIM, Utah

Description

The College Human Resources Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Human Resources department of the college. This position involves providing administrative assistance to HR staff, maintaining employee records, assisting in recruitment and onboarding processes, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and college policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a high school or equivalent diploma; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Previous administrative experience, preferably in a human resources or higher education setting.

Major Responsibilities/Duties

Key Roles & Responsibilities: 1. Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department, including answering phones, responding to emails, and managing correspondence. 2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, employment history, and benefits enrollment. 3. Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks. 4. Prepare and distribute HR-related documents, such as offer letters, employment contracts, and orientation materials. 5. Coordinate new employee orientation sessions and assist with onboarding procedures, including paperwork completion and benefits enrollment. 6. Assist in managing employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement. 7. Assist in organizing HR-related events and training sessions for college employees. 8. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. 9. Assist HR staff with special projects and initiatives as needed.
