Nordvind Sewer Service LLC FLAGGER in Enumclaw, Washington
Responsibilities Include:
- Sets up traffic zones according to regulations or traffic control plans, using jobsite signs, cones, etc. and determines basic traffic control under supervision of TCS or Foreman.
- Use hand signals and direction signs to direct traffic around road construction site.
- Communicates w/other flaggers using hand-held radios.
- Informs TCs/Supervisor of any traffic issues that may affect their safety
- Maintains accuracy of signs inventory & equipment
- Perform general labor duties as necessary
- Follow all safety rules/regulations & practice preventative safety measures, comply w/ required PPE.
Qualifications:
- Ability to receive and communicate specific instructions clearly
- Ability to control signaling devices (such as paddles and flags) in order to provide clear and positive guidance to drivers approaching a temporary traffic control zone in frequently changing situations.
- Ability to understand and apply safe traffic control practices, sometimes in stressful or emergency situations.
- Ability to recognize dangerous traffic situations and warn workers in sufficient time to avoid injury.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work/stand for long hours in all weather conditions
Requirements:
- Must have current flaggers card
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- Must have a valid driver's license
