Enterprise Health and Rehabilitation Security Guard in Enterprise, Alabama
Job requires applicant to walk, stand, or sit for most of shift. Will take out trash at specified times. Check office areas for unlocked doors. Fill out daily activity reports. Deliver oxygen bottles and hook up as needed. Make outside rounds once per shift. Verify door alarm operation. Verify cooler and freezer temperatures and that they are locked at appropriate times. Make rounds of halls every hour. Check with halls for needed supplies, escort staff to supply room and open door for staff to get supplies. Arm and disarm security alarm system. Escort visitors and staff in and out of building after security system is armed. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Ability to push, pull, move and/or lift as much as 50lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 10 feet on an intermittent basis. Work with and relate to ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and, at times, hostile people within the facility. Read, write, and understand the English language. Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses.
