ManpowerGroup EHS Manager in Ennis, Texas

Manpower Engineering is partnering with a well-known building material manufacturing company that is seeking an EHS Manager to sit out of their Ennis, TX plant, having responsibility for two additional Texas-based plants.

Job Title: EHS Manager

Location: Ennis, TX

Pay Range: $145-155K

What’s the Job?

Max of 5

  • Assist site managers in ensuring that all significant risks to health and safety are identified and assessed and that appropriate risk control measures are implemented and maintained.

  • Ensure that Corporate EHS Applications elements are embedded in the operation and these practices are driving the appropriate behavior.

  • Drive and guide on-site EHS support that leads the plant’s EHS management system through proactive engagement with the location EHS program champions.

  • Ensure the plants are current on all relevant Environmental, Health and Safety documents, including Injury Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP).

  • Conduct audits to monitor personnel and workspace improvements and develop corrective actions to close gaps.

  • Lead incident investigations, development of corrective actions, and communicate lessons learned.

What’s Needed?

  • Minimum 5+ years of work experience in workplace environmental, health and safety program management within a manufacturing environment.

  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, policies, programs, PPE, environmental policies (EPA), safety engineering, accident/injury investigation procedures and operating rules, etc.

  • Certified Safety Professional, (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Industrial Hygienist, (CIH) or Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) preferred.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, flexibility, and ability to maintain confidentiality
