Job Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated individual with leadership experience to manage the Delivery Management Team for DISH and Sling TV. The Delivery Management team is responsible for ensuring overall cross-functional alignment, priority and communication, tracking toward deliverables and project milestones for cross-functional teams, and managing readiness for Sling and Dish product releases. Delivery Managers work with both internal teams, including executives, product, design, engineering, and marketing, as well as external partners in order to manage initiatives from the vision and requirements-definition phase through delivery to customers. The role requires exceptional project management, organizational, and communication skills and a high technical acumen.

As a manager, this role will focus on performance and impact, enabling leadership growth and providing opportunities for the team to reach their potential and to develop their skills and careers. The right candidate is an experienced mentor, and derives satisfaction in seeing the team succeed. They will lead by example in how to collaborate with and influence executive-level stakeholders. The position gives the right candidate tremendous exposure within the company and the opportunity to understand the complete business systems that make the product that is redefining the TV industry. The manager will engage with multiple stakeholders, including IT developers and all levels of management ranging from mid-level managers to executives. This is an in-office position, working out of our Englewood, CO office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the cross-functional teams to maintain well-refined delivery backlogs and product roadmaps

  • Manage cross-team dependencies for product delivery to ensure a timely release of complete features

  • Manage, track, and verify timely and high-quality deliverables; establish and advocate for the overall schedule that aligns with the requirements from the cross-functional team

  • Lead development of processes and use project management tools to monitor and improve delivery efficiency, cadence, and impact of product and solution releases

  • Regularly communicate project updates to internal stakeholders with efficient analysis of issues and potential solutions

  • Identify and assign clear ownership of feature tasks to the cross-functional team members and drive the timely execution for each team member

  • Ensure feature issues are tracked, managed, communicated and a path to resolution is defined

  • Production support by triaging run-time issues with the product

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree from four-year college or university

  • A minimum of five years in a project, program, or delivery management role, ideally within media or entertainment fields and/or the pay television industry

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience managing a project or program management team or demonstrated experience in similar leadership role

  • Proficiency in Agile development methodologies and practices (Scrum, Kanban) preferred for a software/web development focus

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, across a wide audience ranging from individual contributors to Executives in the following areas: C-level Executives, Product, Business Development, Marketing, Operations, Accounting, Legal, I.T., Software Development, Quality Assurance, and external partners

  • PMP or Agile certifications a plus

  • Experience in Jira, Confluence, and Airtable a plus

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $127,050.00/Year - $181,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
