Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Financial Controls Group is a team within Corporate Finance. Our core mission is to drive processes that ensure financial operations within marketing are completed and communicated in a timely manner. In this position you will be working directly with Marketing Tactic Owners that are focused on bringing in profitable subscribers. This requires that the data we collect, organize, analyze, forecast, and report has a high degree of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate month end processes; Spend analysis, account reconciliation, accruals, variance analysis, P&L review, and internal financial reporting
Manage the rolling accrual and corrections process to include; Generating reports, facilitating meetings to work with internal clients on resolution and/or documenting the requirement for the accrual, and communicating significant corrections to ensure alignment with management
Manage the Google Drive infrastructure utilized for spend tracking, forecasting, and reporting
Explore and implement solutions to gain process efficiencies; utilize automation tools to streamline processes, eliminate human error, and open up additional potential for the team
Analyze various expenditures and present results; examples are Actual to Forecast variance and G&A trend analysis
Participate in the forecast process to include; facilitating meetings to collect proposed spend, adjusting forecast data, managing fund distributions, and communicating significant shifts in spend
Perform vendor reviews to ensure billing and invoice accuracy and procedural compliance
Support the team as needed to include, but not limited to; keying releases, processing invoices for payment, facilitate PO closure review; other assignments as required to ensure departmental/team volumes are completed in a timely manner
Work with peers in the Finance Department supporting data needs and ad hoc analysis
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance, 3 to 4 years of applicable experience, or a combination thereof
Skills and Qualifications:
Understanding of budgets, profit & loss, NPV, Run Rates, GAAP analysis, financial reporting, and forecasting
ERP experience desired (i.e. Oracle, PeopleSoft, etc.).
Experience with, or the ability to learn (Google Drive, OneStream Data query in Excel, Orbit Report/Query, Excel Data Model, Excel macro development/maintenance, UiPath-Automation Express)
Outstanding Microsoft Excel skills are required
Excellent teamwork skills with ability to establish productive working relationships with other departments and personnel
Ability to work well under pressure and execute on assertive deadlines
Detail oriented with proven accuracy
Able to write reports/correspondence/procedure manuals, present information and respond to questions from varying levels of management
Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills are a must
Flexible in a changing and fast paced work environment

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
