NBCUniversal’s Enterprise Product Team builds products that provide essential capabilities to organizations throughout NBCUniversal. The team leverages deep relationships with our business engagement and engineering counterparts to build cohesive, end-to-end solutions for their clients or users.

As a part of the Enterprise Product Workforce & Workplace team, the Product Owner will be responsible for managing the end-to-end life cycle of Workplace products and services and will work with Product, Engineering and Architecture peer groups on product development and implementation. The Product Owner will communicate with stakeholders on anything product related, including development progress, deliverables, and timelines.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Define and own overall product vision, strategy, and success metrics for key initiatives around Workplace technology products and services

  • Gather and synthesize detailed product requirements, that align to strategic product roadmaps, for review and approval from stakeholders

  • Manage feature roadmap and prioritization of capabilities and features of a product

  • Advocate for stakeholder needs with product and engineering partners, ensuring products and their features are clearly understood and documented 

  • Break down functional and non-functional requirements into user stories, establish acceptance criteria and present them to the team in planning sessions

  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is prioritized, refined, and maintained based on business value, technical feasibility, and stakeholder needs

  • Facilitate sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospective meetings with product and engineering teams to increase creativity while improving efficiency, based on the priorities on our product roadmap

  • Work with respective stakeholders responsible for upstream and downstream systems, including data warehouse and data lake systems, ensuring validation of relevant data sources, consistency, and data integrity are in place

  • Be a strategic partner and work with business stakeholders to define high-impact analytical problems and find innovative ways to solve problems with data

  • Engage stakeholders for acceptance testing, product demonstrations, and go-to-market activities

  • Communicate regular updates, progress, and changes to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment

  • Define product release scope, manage release schedules, and ensure proper documentation and communication of new product features and enhancements

  • Refine and evolve the product vision based on feedback from stakeholders, market trends, and emerging technologies and research opportunities for innovation and improvement, identifying potential partnerships or technologies that can enhance Workplace capabilities

  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reports as determined by the needs of the business

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, data and analytics, computer science, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and present data results with attention to detail and accuracy

  • 2+ years of product management experience, gathering client requirements, writing product and/or technical specifications, working with development teams, and managing product roadmaps as well as launches

  • 2+years of direct client engagement experience

  • Experience with Agile methodology, with a focus on scoping, iteration planning, user story and acceptance criteria writing, and rollout management

  • Experience using Jira or a similar system to track and maintain feature requirements and development progress

  • Experience with systems integration, data governance, and security compliance

  • Experience working with cross-functional development and engineering teams and third-party vendors on product development and implementation

  • Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timelines, budget and quality standards are met

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders

  • Advanced visualization skills with the ability to tell a compelling story with data

  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience in Media industry or experience supporting Workforce & Workplace systems

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Effective communicator, skilled in storytelling and verbal reasoning

  • Ability to gather and comprehend requirements and challenges across all levels of the business

  • Ability to convey complex technical issues internally to both technical and non-technical individuals

Additional Requirements:

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $100,000- $130,000
