NBC Universal’s Technical Operations Product team builds products and services to organizations throughout NBCUniversal including Ad Sales, Broadcast Operations, NBC Digital, NBC News, NBC Sports, Cable Entertainment brands and local TV stations. The Enterprise Product team span 6 key verticals: Content Management, Content Sales and Finance, Scheduling and Distribution, Ad Sales, Ad Technology and Integration, Data and Analytics, and Linear Distribution. As a part of the Ad Technology and Integration team, you will be instrumental in owning and delivering on Peacock’s Ad Integration roadmap.

  • Lead a team of Product Owners across 3 squads, each of whom will manage feature roadmaps, prioritization of capabilities product features across NBCUniversal’s ad supply

  • Direct and orchestrate scrum teams to properly operationalize agile ceremonies and activities to drive operational excellence, proactive communication, and appropriate product rigor, both tactically and strategically

  • Develop and mentor team members of the Enterprise Product Ad Tech Product team

  • Drive process improvements, both tactical and strategic, identifying areas of improvement both internally and with key stakeholders to achieve optimal results across ad-related workstreams

  • Engage across functions with multiple stakeholders, to understand requirements and to work with integration and product architecture teams to execute and deliver these requirements

  • Ensure internal departments are effectively participating in quarterly planning exercises, from early stages all the way to tactical execution and delivery

  • Lead and define backlog processes to scale squad operations and establish and maintain proper governance, prioritization, and execution of clearly defined features/stories across product lifecycle

  • Accountable for documented product features and capabilities across PO / squad workstreams

  • Establish data-driven workflows, using KPIs to positively influence team performance, roadmaps and overall output

  • Drive quarterly planning to develop proactive roadmap across three-month increments based on stakeholder inputs and internal requirements

  • Influence collaboration model to optimize engagement with peers across Ad Integration, Solutions Architecture and brand engineering teams to drive optimal technical solution for a feature or capability that meets the needs of the client

  • Execute scaled process for stakeholder communication, from project intake to roadmap execution, backlog grooming and related Scaled Agile processes with support from the broader Enterprise Product PMO organization.

Basic Requirements:

  • Experience in managing the end-to-end life cycle of a product

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Management or equivalent experience required

  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant work experience in the technology or media industry

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a role exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, project management, and strong formal presentation abilities

  • Expertise in the SDLC process, with a focus on scoping, iteration planning, user story and acceptance criteria writing, rollout management

  • Demonstrated ability to own projects end-to-end with minimal supervision and guidance

  • Knowledge of FreeWheel ad server

  • Excellent written, verbal, visual/presentation and interpersonal communications skills

  • Team player dedicated to excellent customer service for internal and external customers

Additional Requirements:

This position has been designated as commutable remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from the designated office location on an as needed/as directed basis.  When not contributing onsite, the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly the employee’s residence.

Salary range: $110,000- $150,000 (bonus eligible)
