WHO WE NEED
We are seeking a versatile and team-oriented Assistant Engineer in the Electrical Group at our Endwell, NY office. This is an entry level position. The Candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience. An EIT is preferred. Experience with REVIT is highly preferred.
The primary duties include:
Using methods recommended by senior project team members, perform work which involves conventional types of electrical plans, field investigations, and design.
Is expected to try to solve engineering problems using experience, judgment and education, but is expected to ask for assistance when required.
Be proficient in the use of computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, Revit, and CADD. Become proficient in Group design software(s).
Prepare, or assist in the preparation of, engineering documents, details, schedules or reports as assigned.
Attend client meetings/presentations – daytime or evenings.
Communicate with client representatives, contractors, suppliers, etc.
Serve on field inspection teams to obtain and document existing conditions using field notes, sketches, and photography.
Develop quantity take offs and construction cost estimates.
Participate in site visits/inspections/documentation during construction
Delta is driven to exceed our clients’ expectations on every project. Accordingly, the successful applicant for this position must be willing to occasionally work adjusted hours/overtime.
Hiring Salary Range: $59,000-65,000 (Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities along with an internal equity and alignment with market area data.)
