Description
Our growing biotech company is searching for a seasoned financial professional to join our team as a Senior Accountant. This role merges the high-energy world of biotech with the meticulous necessity of accounting, crafting an experience that is both dynamic and detail oriented. In this key position, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accuracy and efficacy of our company's financial operations. As a finance ambassador for our organization, your influence will permeate every cell of our operations and influence biotechnical discoveries and developments.
Responsibilities:
+ + Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements to verify their accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Lead budgeting processes, create forecasts, and conduct financial analysis to drive business decisions.
Develop, manage, and maintain an effective system of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Prepare regular financial reports and present findings and recommendations to company leaders.
Coordinate and manage audit processes and liaise with internal and external auditors.
Requirements
A minimum of four years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the biotech industry.
A bachelor's or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred but not mandatory.
Profound knowledge of accounting and financial best practices and principles.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
