Description
As one of our CDL Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting exterior doors to our approximately 200 retail locations East of the Mississippi and to local customer jobsites in a safe and timely manner. You will be driving equipment from our well-maintained, company-owned fleet. The sleeper cabs come equipped with refrigerator, T.V. and a microwave. This is a regional driving position, as we grow and expand so will your driving responsibilities and regions. There will be overnight runs along with local daily runs. You will be notified of driving assignments one week in advance. You will ensure that delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. You will also ensure that all DOT and FMCSA requirements and standards are upheld.
Requirements:
Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials
An acceptable driving record and a current CDL A license
Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
Ability to be a team player
Ability to be flexible as we are growing and expanding
Preferred but not required forklift experience, pallet jack
Clean driving record and background check
Valid medical card
Good communication and customer service skills
Based out of our store in Emporia, VA
The position will require overnight travel in company-owned sleeper cabs
