VACANCY INFORMATION:

Join our team as a Clinical and Supports Services Manager! In this dynamic role, you will lead and oversee the successful implementation of several evidence-based therapies and support services in Jefferson Parish. You will provide supervision/guidance to direct line staff and first-level supervisors, ensuring program quality and compliance while maintaining strong community partnerships. This position also requires approximately 10% of your time dedicated to direct client services in the community, allowing you to maintain a strong clinical connection while leading your teams. Knowledge of family therapy, such as FFT or MST, is preferred, as is working knowledge of the Prior Authorization and Claims processes for Louisiana Medicaid Managed Care.

Minimum Qualifications

A master’s degree in a social science, health or human services, nursing, or health administration field plus five years of experience in a health service, social service or education program; OR

A doctorate in a social science, health or human services, nursing, or health administration field plus four years of experience in a health service, social service or education program.

Supervises and directs center managers, acute unit managers and directors, medical directors, and other program staff within the region and assures the coordination of services with other units.

Plans, directs, and evaluates community support programs which includes group homes, supervised apartments, psychosocial rehabilitation, case management, 24-hour crisis intervention, nursing home reform, and single point of entry.

Confers with regional advisory council regarding needs and services.

Hires, assigns, evaluates, and terminates personnel; administers the recruitment of staff and approves personnel actions.

Conducts needs assessment studies and plans.

Plans, directs, and evaluates long range mental health plans, programs and policies.

Plans and directs the development, monitoring, and collaborative process of contractual services.

Meets with the general public, other agencies, and the media regarding regional mental health programs and policies.

Assures compliance of subordinates to policies, procedures, and rules and to legal and ethical standards.
