Job Summary Central Washington University is recruiting an Assistant Professor of Construction Management to join our Engineering, Technology, Safety and Construction (ETSC) team in Ellensburg, Washington. We're offering a salary, depending on experience and education, from $70,000 - $83,000 annually plus the awesome CWU benefits. Learn more: CWU Benefits, Perks & Discounts The Role: This position is in the Department of Engineering, Technology, Safety and Construction (ETSC). Primary responsibilities for this position include teaching courses in general building and/or heavy civil construction management. The successful candidate will also be responsible for industry collaboration and service. All ETSC faculty are expected to: 1) advise students, hold regular office hours, actively participate in program assessment and evaluation to maintain accreditation; 2) engage in scholarly activities; and 3) participate in university, departmental and professional service. Minimum Qualifications Please address in your cover letter: Masters degree in construction, engineering, business or construction-related field; Minimum three years construction management experience working within the industry; Familiarity with United States construction practices Teaching, research, service or other experience that has prepared the candidate to contribute to CWU's commitment to the engagement and inclusion of culturally diverse students. Preferred Qualifications (Please address in your cover letter): Ph.D. in construction, engineering or related discipline; Professional academic experience; Experience with an engineering/construction academic accreditation process (i.e. - ABET, ACCE, etc.); Professional credentials (P.E. LEED, CPC, DBIA, CMAA, etc.). Demonstrated participation in programs designed to promote inclusion. Experience or interest in mentoring students from a variety of backgrounds. Ability to incorporate multicultural perspectives and issues into curriculum and classroom conversations. Potential to mentor and
