Job Summary Central Washington University is recruiting an Apparel/Gift Buyer (Bookstore Supervisor) to join our Wildcat Shop team in Ellensburg, Washington. The Role: The Bookstore Supervisor has full responsibility for purchasing, merchandising, and inventory control of all clothing and gift items, backpacks, faculty and student regalia and maintaining the school marks in accordance with university policy. The purchases this position processes produces over $1.4 million in yearly sales. This position is responsible for maintaining products that are appealing to students, families, staff, and community members throughout the year and keeping with brand regulations. Job Duties Sales, Market Research, and Visual Merchandising - Responsible for buying and selection of clothing, emblematic gifts and non-emblematic gift products for Wildcat Shop, - Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. - Plan and forecast future clothing and gift purchases based on seasonal trends and sales cycles. - Follow strategies to drive sales, increase average transaction value, and meet or exceed sales targets. - Select and purchase clothing that aligns with CWU' brands image and customer base. - Ensure a diverse and appealing product mix. - Creates SKU's, purchase order and product layouts for new merchandise and reorders. Inventory Control and Management - Oversee inventory levels for clothing and gift items, coordinate with the inventory team for accurate stock counts, and ensure timely replenishment of merchandise. - Implement inventory management best practices to minimize stock discrepancies and ensure product availability. - Inventory control and markdown of products, returns, and cyclic inventory of products. - Merchandise product when it arrives and keep the sales floor amply stocked for departments under your supervisi
