Job Title: Slitting Machine Operator
Job Description
As a Slitting Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Cutting & Roll Wrapping Machines. Your duties will include cutting cores to size for the slitter, weighing plastic rolls, labeling, and palletizing rolls for delivery to the finished goods area. You will conduct final inspections of rolls, follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), PRPs, and production SOPs, and report any unsafe acts or conditions to the department group leaders and managers immediately. The role involves repeatable motions and lifting items weighing up to 30-50 lbs.

This is a fully on-site position in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
Work Environment
You will work in a 500,000 sq ft facility that prioritizes safety, cleanliness, and organization. The facility includes updated break rooms with a new self-serve vending process. Departments include Print, Lamination, Slitting, Warehouse, and Maintenance. The facility has recently invested $8 million in new machinery, with further investments of $80 million planned over the next 3-5 years. Shifts available are 5:45 am - 6:15 pm (Day Shift) at $19.84/hr and 5:45 pm - 6:15 am (Night Shift) at $21.84/hr.
