University of Vermont Medical Center Paramedic Instructor in Elizabethtown, New York
The EMS Programs Instructor has primary responsibility for all classroom education of the Paramedic students, assist the Director in curriculum development, maintenance of accreditation status, recruitment and selection of students.
EMS Programs Instructors must satisfy the following minimum qualifications:
1. Current Practicing as a Vermont EMT/Paramedic,
2. Current Vermont Instructor Coordinator (CIC) or Certified Lab Instructor (CLI), unless considered a subject matter expert in a particular area.
3. Current Instructor certifications in CPR and other areas of expected instruction.
4. Compliant with all federal, state and local regulations, including certification and licensing requirements as required by the discipline.
5. Minimum 2 years field experience as EMT/Paramedic with supervisory experience.
6. Experience in a training or educational setting.
7. Must have a valid driver's license.Desirable Qualifications
1. Associates, Bachelors, or Masters Degrees preferred
2. National Registry EMT/Paramedic Certification required.
3. Additional instructor certifications preferred ie: Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS), Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC), Geriatric Emergencies for EMS (GEMS), EMS Safety, etc
