Job Title: Associate Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Associate Maintenance Technician will focus on machine installations, setup of highly automated equipment including controls, automation, and electrical systems. They will support and provide ongoing preventive, planned, and unplanned maintenance on production equipment associated with their assigned plant areas once installations are complete.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee new equipment installation, setup, modification, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to OEM specifications.

  • Work with outside contractors as needed to identify and resolve equipment issues, troubleshoot, and investigate equipment failures to diagnose faulty operation, bring production back online, and make recommendations to prevent re-occurrences.

  • Inspect and check equipment for proper operating condition, make necessary adjustments, log test readings, maintain, repair, or replace equipment parts, and maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment.

  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems, including repair and rework to meet and maintain specifications and tolerances.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in Industrial Maintenance with an emphasis on electrical controls.

  • Intermediate knowledge of PLC programming, robotics, and vision controls.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Electrical Theory for AC/DC circuits, Motor Controls (VFD, Servo).

  • Fundamental understanding of mechanical maintenance, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, mechanical/electrical diagrams, and technical orders.

  • Ability to connect wire to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replace switches and fuses, and splice wire, replace or repair belts, chains, or cables on machinery.

  • Ability to align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates with the potential to operate metalworking machines to fabricate housings, jigs, fittings, and fixtures.

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Development) AND Industrial Maintenance Certificate, Journeyman Card, or Associates Degree in a related field.

Work Environment

The facility is a new construction, clean, and climate-controlled. The plant is scheduled to be fully operational in January 2025, running 24x7 with a 3-2-2 pattern and 12-hour shifts. There will be a day shift and a night shift. Between now and late spring of 2024, the work schedule will be a standard 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule, Monday – Friday. Once the plant is functioning, the maintenance teams will transition to a 3-2-2 pattern on the day shift. No shift rotations will be required for hourly employees.

This is a Permanent position based out of NA, Kentucky.
