Actalent Logistics Program Manager in Elizabeth City, North Carolina

Overview:

The Deputy Logistics Manager will be responsible for ensuring cost timely and accurate logistics support to include, among other things, spares provisioning, obsolescence management, maintenance management, data collections, and transportation management, to ensure company’s fielded systems achieve the highest possible availability to support the various mission sets of our customers both CONUS and OCONUS.

Description:

  • Assist the Logistics Program Manager as directed; aid in provisioning, maintenance oversight, Military and Commercial Shipping, equipment tracking.

  • Answer questions from Program Managers, Logistics Managers or staff, Production Planners, Buyers, vendors regarding equipment and requirements.

  • Conduct or attend staff, planning, production and program meetings and relay updated relevant information to the appropriate parties.

  • Assist the Program Manager in management of System Maintenance/Reset, helium assets, unique support equipment, generators.

Qualifications:

  • AS Degree in Business, Logistics, Materials Management or other related discipline, or the equivalent amount of education and experience.

  • 5 years of related experience in Logistics, Materials Management, Production Planning, or Material Control Planning.

  • Prior experience with Military Aviation or large commercial aviation carriers, supply management preferred.

  • Understanding of the Material Management and/or inventory control and storeroom functions.

  • Prefer experience using word processing and spreadsheet applications.

  • 9/80 work schedule.
