The Boeing Company is currently seeking DevSecOps Software Engineers (Associate and Experienced Level) to join the Disruptive Computing & Network (DC&N) team located in El Segundo, CA, Annapolis Junction, MD, Fairfax, VA or Huntington Beach, CA .
The successful candidate will help lead in the design and implementation of our multifaceted Infrastructure solution and maintain a modern system deployment to the multi-tenattenant environments across various enclaves with a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflow for system build, test and deploy. In this position, you will collaborate with other world-class scientists, researchers, and engineers innovating on a range of technologies including Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML), Advanced Training & Simulation, Production Analytics, Autonomy, Electro-Optical/Infrared Sensing, Cybersecurity, Disruptive Computing & Networks, and High-Fidelity Digital Twin & Virtualization.
As part of Boeing Research & Technology's (BR&T) Mission Systems & Autonomy (MS&A) software capability, our software engineers use their expertise to dream up next-generation software capabilities for amazing aerospace, satellite, and autonomy platforms. We develop cutting edge sensors and mission systems, high bandwidth communication systems, large-scale simulation systems, space and satellite systems, avionics virtual machines as part of high-fidelity digital twins that will improve the future of software development, airplane and flight controls, cyber security solutions, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and much more. Our products help solve Boeing’s most challenging problems across Commercial Airplanes, Defense Space & Security, and Global Services businesses.
Projects can range from new cyber security solutions for the revolutionary 787 Dreamliner to innovative aircraft, creating virtual avionics development test environments across several commercial, defense, satellite, and space platforms, satellite payload technologies, and autonomy.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Level DevSecOps Software Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop and sustain Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines for automated deploymentdevelopment of the highly available, mission critical systems or enterprise platform product software for integration and test and operations
Create automation scripts and templates to build development systems
Leverages technical knowledge of infrastructure software, and security to maintain and improve and deploy and harden complex infrastructure
Perform analysis, design, development and implementation activities to install, configure and maintain infrastructure, software and components in air-gapped and on-premiseon-premises platform utilizing everything as code, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC), for deployments
Perform activities to ensure alignment of use cases and objectives with architecture and security
Provide guidance and direction to DevSecOps developers and administrators
Troubleshoot application deployment issues
Research/analyze issues (such as application integration, testing, performance etc.) and provide recommendations and resolution
Interface effectively with multiple technical disciplines in a team environment

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI with Poly US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI with Poly US Security clearance (Post-Start).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
1+ years of experience automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, deployment, and installations using a DevOps tool chain (Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, etc)
1+ years of experience with Linux system administration
Experience with Docker containers and Ansible
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with Poly
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Experience with OpenShift
Experience with automation and provisioning of isolated/air-gapped environments
5+ years of experience with object-oriented software development (C/C++, Java)
5+ years of experience automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, deployment, and installations using a DevOps tool chain (GitLab, Nexus, Artifactory)
Experience developing guidelines and best practices for on-premises development & implementations including containers and container orchestration
Experience with architecting and automating disaster recovery solutions
Experience using Agile or SAFe methodology
Experience with security controls such as DoD RMF
Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Travel:
Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for Associate-Level: $90,950.00 – $123,050.00
Summary pay range for Mid-Level: $112,200.00 – $151,800.00
